"I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen" reminds me of Taiwan in the last 8 years:
The roses have all left her cheek.
I've seen them fade away and die.
Her voice is sad whenever she speaks.
And tears bedim her loving eyes.
Now who's going to take her back to where her heart will feel no pain?
When the fields are fresh and green, who's going to take her home again?
To anybody who says all that's happened is but a necessary and unavoidable stage in the process of progress, I'd say bullsh*t.
But then again, ignorance often prevails, at first, at least.
Justice is slow, now and before, here and everywhere else in this world.
